Commentary: An interesting day for many reasons. First, I ate a lot, even when I wasn't really hungry. Second, I had and took the opportunity to present myself to my dinner host as someone who doesn't eat pasta, bread, or desserts. Third, I was offered wine, and definitely would have enjoyed drinking it (and will, in September), but presented myself as someone who doesn't drink wine. And fourth, I was served my seafood with a little bit of pasta, which I could have eaten, but instead ate around.
